If someone had told me a few years ago that I would one day start my own brand, I would probably have just smiled.

And yet, here I am. Writing these lines and happily introducing you to Velunea – a project that was born during a period when I myself was looking for a way back to myself.

I am 21 years old and studying psychology in Prague. Last year, I went through a challenging period that forced me to stop for a while. I spent most of my time at home and gradually realized that I had stopped doing even the smallest things that used to bring me joy. Dressing in something I felt good in. Making my favorite coffee. Opening the window, letting in fresh air, and just being for a moment.

It was then that I began to realize how much the environment we live in and the things we surround ourselves with every day affect our mood. Home ceased to be just a place to sleep. It became a place of peace, security, and a space where we can slow down.

And somewhere between these ordinary days, the first idea for Velunea was born.

From the beginning, I knew I didn't want to create clothes just for them to look good. I wanted to create pieces that would be pleasant to the touch, comfortable to wear, and made from quality, mostly natural materials. Clothes that you put on in the morning and won't feel the need to take off during the day.

But I didn't just want to create loungewear. I believe that it's the simplest things we wear most often. For a slow morning with coffee, for working from home, for a walk in the city, and for meeting friends. I wanted to create a wardrobe that would be a natural part of everyday life.

Perhaps precisely because I study psychology, I perceive the great importance of everyday small things. How we feel in the clothes we wear. What kind of environment we create around ourselves. And how even small rituals can affect our day more than we often realize.

For me, Velunea is not just a brand. It's a reminder that self-care doesn't have to be complicated or perfect. Sometimes, it's enough to just slow down for a moment, take a breath, and treat yourself to something that truly makes you feel good.
